വൈകിട്ട് 4.30 ഓടെ തൃശൂർ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. കഴുത്തിനും നെഞ്ചിനും പരിക്കേറ്റ രാഹുല്‍ സര്‍ജറി വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ ചികിത്സ തേടി. പരിക്ക് ഗുരുതരമല്ലാത്തതിനാല്‍ പ്രാഥമിക ചികിത്സയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം വീട്ടിലേയ്ക്ക് മടങ്ങി. കൊട്ടേഷനും സ്വർണ്ണക്കടത്തുമുൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള കേസുകള്‍ കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് കാപ്പ ചുമത്തിയതോടെയാണ് ആകാശ് വിയ്യൂര്‍ ജയിലിലെത്തിയത്. ജയിലിൽ ആകാശ് ഫോൺ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തതിനാണ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന് മർദ്ദനമേറ്റതെന്നാണ് വിവരം. സംഭവത്തിന്‍റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ ആകാശിനെ അതീവ സുരക്ഷാ ജയിലിലേയ്ക്ക് മാറ്റി. അതേസമയം സംഭവത്തില്‍ വിയ്യൂര്‍ പോലീസ് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു.
